Navēa combines evidence-based medical care with a more individualized, collaborative approach. While our foundation is rooted in traditional medicine, we recognize that many people are looking for more time, education, and discussion than they have experienced in conventional healthcare settings.
Rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation, we consider the broader picture — including mental health, hormonal health, sleep, stress, lifestyle, and nervous system regulation. Our goal is to provide the trusted clinical expertise and treatment options you would expect from a medical provider within a calmer, more supportive environment that helps individuals feel informed, heard, and involved in their care.

Perimenopause and menopause can look and feel different for everyone, and because hormonal changes often develop gradually, it can be confusing to recognize when this transition has begun. Changes which may suggest you are entering perimenopause can include irregular cycles, hot flashes, night sweats, increased anxiety, mood changes, brain fog, fatigue, disrupted sleep, decreased libido, vaginal dryness, or changes in stress tolerance. Many of these symptoms can continue into post-menopause as well and may overlap with other medical or mental health conditions, making a thoughtful evaluation important in understanding what may be contributing.
-
Yes. Hormonal fluctuations — particularly during perimenopause and menopause — can influence brain regions involved in mood, sleep, stress response, cognition, and emotional regulation. For some individuals, this may contribute to new symptoms such as anxiety, low mood, irritability, brain fog, or disrupted sleep, while for others it may worsen pre-existing mental health conditions. Because these changes can overlap with other biological, psychological, and lifestyle factors, a comprehensive evaluation can help clarify what may be contributing and guide appropriate treatment options.

The Reset Lounge is designed for individuals experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, sleep disruption, or a persistent “fight or flight” state. It offers a supportive environment using evidence-based modalities, including technologies such as cranial electrotherapy stimulation, that gently work to support nervous system regulation and reduce physiological stress activation over time.
With both immediate calming effects and cumulative benefit with repeated use, these therapies are designed to help shift the body out of a heightened stress response and support a greater sense of calm, rest, and overall mind-body balance. Because the devices utilized are FDA-approved, a prescription is required prior to use, which may be provided following a clinical evaluation. The Reset Lounge can be used alongside clinical care or as an adjunctive support for overall well-being.

At this time, we do not bill insurance for clinical visits and operate as a private-pay practice. This allows for longer appointments, more comprehensive evaluations, and treatment approaches that are not limited by insurance requirements. If needed, we can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement depending on your plan.
While visits are private pay, insurance may still be used for prescriptions at the pharmacy, and when appropriate, lab work can be ordered through outside laboratories that bill insurance directly.
-
Lab testing is not always required when evaluating or treating hormonal concerns. When appropriate, lab work can be used as one component of a broader, individualized evaluation to support a more complete understanding of each person’s situation. In some cases, it can provide helpful information and assist in ruling out other contributing factors such as thyroid dysfunction, nutritional deficiencies, or additional medical conditions. However, treatment decisions are often guided primarily by symptoms and clinical history. Whether labs are recommended depends on your symptoms, history, and clinical presentation, and will be discussed as part of your personalized care plan.
For your convenience, labs can often be drawn directly in the office during your visit. We partner with an outside laboratory for processing and testing.
If you prefer, lab work can also be ordered through outside laboratories that bill insurance directly.

We prescribe evidence-based hormone therapy options that are tailored to each individual’s symptoms, health history, and goals. This may include FDA-approved medications such as estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone, used in clinically appropriate forms and dosing strategies. All hormone therapies are prescribed following a comprehensive evaluation and are filled through a pharmacy rather than dispensed in the clinic. Treatment may be thoughtfully adjusted over time based on symptom response, safety, and overall well-being.
-
We work with adults experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, trauma-related symptoms, attention and concentration difficulties, and stress-related conditions. We also support individuals who may not meet criteria for a specific diagnosis but are noticing changes in mood, energy, cognition, or overall emotional well-being.
-
Yes. We offer both in-person visits and telehealth appointments for women’s and psychiatric consults, allowing flexibility in how you access care.
Initial visits are typically 60–90 minutes to allow time for a comprehensive evaluation and discussion of your concerns. Follow-up visits are generally 30–45 minutes depending on clinical needs.
